Coinciding with the Olympics 2018 In Pyeong Chang we are proud to announce that the four-year recurring sailing event Vintage Yachting Games 2018 for former Olympic and Paralympic Classes will race in September in Copenhagen, Denmark. The hosts, a cooperation between the Royal Danish Yacht Club and the Hellerup Sailing Club has now published the Notice of Race and opened the registration via Manage2sail.com.
Racing will take place between 16 and 22 September (first day of racing Sept. 18th). Participation has been anticipated for the Europe (Female and Male),12’ Dinghy, 2.4 Metre, Olympiajol, 12m2 Sharpie, Flying Dutchman, Yngling, Star, Soling, Dragon, 5,5 Metre and 6 Metre. The former Olympic and Paralympic classes are still very, internationally active and race at high level.
The first current and former top sailors have already demonstrated their interest. It leads to the expectation of yet another great racing week of these still great classes.
As you might expect of an event with this great heritage will open with an official open ceremony and will contain social activities like parties and a Gala dinner. The host Clubs and racing water will guaranty high-level racing and hospitality.
